WikiLeaks

WikiLeaks could become a huge problem for large organization in the future.  They have already proven to be quite harmful if some secretive information is leaked.  WikiLeak's release of U.S. diplomatic documents suggests it can use the same methods to reveal secrets behind powerful corporations.  Other things at risk are e-mails, documents, databases, and any internal websites.  Companies create records of any situation it makes, no matter the seriousness of it.  If one mistake is made on who can view these records, all those secrets could be known worldwide in a couple of seconds.  Maybe no secrets can be kept anymore now that everything is run electronically.

  1. This is pretty scary and worries me because there are many things that shouldn't be known. So for people to find out about things in a matter of seconds because a person published it scares me and I can imagine how much it scares the people who did not want the world to see those files.

  2. This topic has been all over the news lately and I think that this is a really serious issue in America right now. Also, I think that it’s important that people know just how severe this really is and how it could have a huge negative impact on our country.

  3. I think this is great, almost as if some one finally placed a wake up call. This will unmask many people and they will face their effects to their cause but most importantly many of the average living person in America will be released from this blind folds and will finally open their mouth which has been forced shut for so long. This is great.

  4. I truly have to recognize the creator of wikileaks as a genius. I'm not saying I support him for hacking into the government's computers, but I do recognize his as a master on this. I believe that these wikileaks can be very scary but also very helpful and eye-opening. Like someone mentioned before, there are things that should never be known. I mean they were kept secret for a reason, and some things that were kept this secretive might have been for our own good. So now that we have acess to these documents it's scary to discover the horrible truth and the abominable things some of our most honorable people have done. On the other hand this can really open the eyes of society and finally be able to see these people without their masks. I think it's great these people have been unmasked and we can no longer be fooled by them.

  5. The whole idea of WikiLeaks is extremely overwhelming to me, yet interesting as well. You made a good point when you say any information entered electronically now has the potential to be hacked into and displayed onto this website. Much of the information released is somewhat detrimental to our society's knowledge because the data provided on this site is often explicit and graphic, therefore posing as unnecessary. Although many Americans believe WikiLeaks to be beneficial, this website serves to be more damaging than efficient.
