A few days ago, another tragedy occurred, further increasing the tension between North and South Korea. The North Koreans unleashed shells on the South Korean island of Yeonpyeong killing multiple people. This act of violence has re-sparked issues between Russia, China, the Koreas, Japan, and USA. South Korea's Spy chief has stated that there is a high chance that a similar attack will happen in the following days. The United States and South Korea have also countered this act in another way, angering North Korea further, by performing scheduled military exercises in the Yellow Sea. North Korea replied by saying, "If the U.S. and the South Korean war-like forces fire even a shell into the inviolable land and territorial waters of the DPRK, they will have to pay dearly for this." The DPRK is the formal name for North Korea, meaning the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. Then South Korea replied "If the North commits any additional provocations against the South, we will make sure that it pays a dear price without fail," in a nationally televised address. Could these reborn conflicts cause another war similar to Vietnam and the Korean War?

Last night I watched a show of these tourists that went to North Korea, and it's crazy over there. really don't know why China's friends with North Korea.
ReplyDeleteThis is really a matter we should all become more involved in, because who knows if this will affect us soon. If these struggles continue, we could be pressed to go forward into war against North Korea, this is something extremely hard for the United States. This would involve us in yet another war, harming or economy and our overall people/ safety. We should hope this conflict can be solved wihout a war, but that is very unlikely.
