Al Qaeda Changing its Tactics

More and more plots of terrorism are being uncovered throughout America and Europe.  Fortunately, intelligence officials are discovering these conspiracies before they occur, but it's only a matter of time until one sneaks right by government officers and strikes innocent people. Al Qaeda is slowly adapting after failing and succeeding in different ways.  They are realizing what works and what doesn't.
Plots like the Christmas Day bombing of a US airliner, New York City's Time Square car bomb, and Manchester's attack on shopping malls in 2009 are all proving to be unsuccessful schemes. Though many fail, some occur and truly terrorize populations, for example, the assault on Mumbai, India in 2008.  This siege killed over 160 citizens with the use of guns rather than explosives. Unlike explosives, guns are much easier to sneak into places such as Europe and America because more people own them.  Unless al Qaeda and organizations like it are taken down for good, its only a clicking time bomb until another assault takes place, and possibly on our own soil.
